Samuel Eriksson (born 2001) is studying piano and clarinet at the Turku Conservatory with Niklas Pokki and Outi Heiskanen. He was accepted to the Youth Piano Academy of Finland in 2013, where he has participated in numerous master classes with renowned professors such as Claudio Martinez-Mehner, Robert Levin, Emanuel Krasovsky and Matti Raekallio. He has received awards in the Pianoaura Competition in 2010, 2013, 2016 and 2019, the Madetoja Piano Competition in 2012, 2015 and 2018, the Steinway Festival Competition in 2016 and 2018, the Hullu Puhallus Competition for brass and woodwind instruments in 2017 and the Nordic Junior Piano Competition in Arvika in 2019.
His most significant appearances have been as a clarinet soloist with the Big Band of the Finnish Navy in 2014 and 2016 and at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg in 2015, as a piano soloist in Chioggia, Italy, with the regional orchestra in 2016, at a concert series in Málaga in 2017 and 2019, as a piano soloist with the Turku Philharmonics in 2017 and 2019, at the Mänttä Music Festival in 2017 and 2018, at the Turku Music Festival in 2018, and at the Steinway Festival in Hamburg in 2018. Eriksson has also performed in music comedy productions with the Piano Desperados ensemble at the Korsholm Music Festival in 2017, at the Joensuu Music Festival and the Mikkeli Music Festival in 2019 as well as at the Mänttä Music Festival in 2016 and 2018.
