Sofia Stasevska

Sofia Stasevska (born 2001) started her music studies in 2008 with Vera Fadeeva at the Tampere Conservatory and continued with Risto Kyrö in 2015. In 2018, she started her studies at the Helsinki Conservatory with Antti Hotti. In 2013, Sofia was accepted to the Youth Piano Academy. She has also attended multiple piano master classes by both Finnish and foreign musicians.

Sofia was awarded at the Leevi Maadetoja Competition in Oulu in 2012, the Pianoaura Competition in Turku in 2013 and 2016, the Chopin Competition in Helsinki in 2017 and the Steinway Piano Festival with second place in 2016.  Additionally, she has performed at numerous concerts, such as the Mänttä Music Festival in 2016 at the Festival’s Young Artists Concert, the Tampere Piano Weeks in 2017, the Bayreuth Piano Festival in 2017 and the Korsholma Music Festival in 2017.

Sofia was granted a stipend from the Pro Musica Foundation in 2015, the Finnish Cultural Foundation’s stipend for a grand piano in 2017, and The Society of Arts stipend in 2018.
