Antti Pimiä (b. 2008) started playing the piano 6 years ago. Since 2019, Antti has studied at the Tampere Conservatory. At first he was taught by Kristiina Kask-Valve, and since 2020 by Annika Hautamäki-Hänninen. Antti is currently completing advanced studies at the conservatory. From autumn 2024, Antti will also be taught by Teppo Koivisto.
In addition to his conservatory studies, Antti has participated in several master classes, such as the Nurmes summer academy, Raudaskylä Winter and Summer master classes, and Pyynikin pianopäivät. In these master courses, his teachers have been, among others, Antti Hotti, Teppo Koivisto, Konstantin Bogino and Tuija Hakkila.
Antti has been awarded in the Leevi Madetoja piano competition in 2022, in the Turku Pianoaura competition in 2023, in the Tapiola international piano competition in 2023 and in the Pirkanmaa piano competition in 2023.
Notable performances have included the national Young Chopin event in Helsinki, the Turku Pianoaura prize concert at the Sibelius Museum in Turku, and the charity event "Sydämen asialla" in Tampere.
