Sauli Aaltonen (b. 2009) began his piano studies at the age of five. He is currently a student of Annika Hautamäki-Hänninen at Tampere Conservatory. He also receives lessons from Teppo Koivisto.
Sauli has received awards in the following piano competitions: International Tapiola Piano Competition (2023, 2021), Pianoaura Piano Competition (2023), Leevi Madetoja Piano Competition (2025, 2022), Pirkanmaa Piano Competition (2020, 2018), and Ilmari Hannikainen Piano Chamber music competition (2026).
Sauli has been awarded scholarships by Pro Musica Foundation and Pirkanmaa Cultural Foundation. In spring 2023, he was selected into Youth Piano Academy Finland. Sauli has performed at Riihimäki Summer Concerts Festival and Mänttä Music Festival. He has performed as a soloist with Vaasa City Orchestra and as a part of Symphony Orchestra Vivo and Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra.
