Jesse Mäki (b. 2007) started his studies in autumn 2020 at the Music School Juvenalia under the guidance of Mr. Kari Tikkala. Alongside his ongoing studies at the music school Jesse is currently also studying at the Youth Piano Academy, starting in 2024.
Among his performances, Jesse considers concerts in the PianoEspoo Festival in Autumn 2023 and the Riihimäki Summer Concert Series in June 2024 as great importances to him. As a soloist, Jesse has performed Mozart's piano concerto no. 23 in Espoo, Lahti and Tallinn. Jesse has participated in the master classes of e.g. Matti Raekallio, Antti Hotti, Marina Pliassova and Ivari Ilja. Jesse has also received a scholarship from the music school Juvenalia in the spring of 2022.
Jesse was awarded in the Tapiola piano competition 2021 and in the Noor Muusik competition in Tallinn Estonia 2022 (3rd prize), where he also received a special prize for the best interpretation of the compulsory piece.
